Ewa Kontowicz
(b. 1979, Warsaw)
Ewa Kontowicz is a contemporary Polish artist whose work emerges from attentive observation of the world and a contemplative relationship with light, color, and space. She holds a degree in philology and literary studies; her intellectual background, rooted in working with language, meaning, and the structure of sense, forms an important context for the development of her painting practice.
She creates abstract paintings inspired by nature—its rhythm, transience, and inner stillness. Working intuitively, she builds compositions through layers of color, light, and texture. Her works do not impose fixed interpretations; instead, they open a space for contemplation and the viewer’s personal experience.
Ewa Kontowicz’s paintings are held in private collections in Poland and abroad.
